Rory Cochrane

About 10 years ago, located somewhere in the depths of North East England Deep down musics very own deep house maestro, Rory Cochrane, began to dabble in a little deck wizardry at parties with friends which set in motion his love for that deep soulful beat.

His love for House music continued to develop after becoming a regular spark in the crowds of the North East's seminal House music rave joints such as, To The Manor Born, Shindig and The Sugar Shack. Rory's early influences were generally the whole West coast house scene, in particular the early Naked music vibe, such as Dubtribe Sound System, Miguel Migs, Rasoul, Andy Caldwell, JT Donaldson & Lance Desardi.

Other of Rory's faves and influences include the likes of Calum Walker, The Rurals, Brendan Costigane, Jimpster, Vincenzo, Dj Ino Schmoov & Crazy P. This distinctive sound and its influence is obvious when you hear him work a crowd in that individual and unique way that Rory has made his awn by giving you that characteristic Cochrane deep house therapy.

It is a general consensus between the deep down crew that "you can always tell when Rory has taken control". This feeling was especially felt on the infamous Love boat where Rory made the warm up slot his own and what was probably his most popular and hotly anticipated residency to date. Over the years Rory residencies have included many successful partnerships such as Deeper @ Club2k, The Loveboat, Deepdownmusic @ DSU and Deepdown Music @ Stereo (where he warmed up for legendary Matty Heilbronn). He has also made guest appearances at the Purple Onion, Frescos, Sueno Sundays @ Tokyo Bar and has even been a privileged face behind the decks in the backroom at the 'Manor Born'.

Over the last year Rory has also been a regular resident on Deepvibes Radio, London where his sets have been extremely popular with the listeners and behind the scenes is currently working on some of his own interesting production projects, so watch this space and continue to absorb the magical sessions from Racy Cochrane's Deep House therapy couch!
