Born '78 in Zagreb where he got involved with music even before elementary school. As son of famous Croatian Jazz critic he grew up surrounded by some ten thousand vinyl records of Jazz, Blues, Soul, Funk & World music, so that’s how he got obsessed by that indispensable feeling for vinyl records and unique sound they provide. He has also finished music school for piano and right after that finally discovered electronic sounds and clubbing scene in 1993 when he visited his first party, it was during war time in Croatia and Mate Galic was spinning.
Funtom's career as a DJ started later at the age of 20 in 1998 when he started to play alongside some of the Croatian industry finest, such as Alen, Markan, Active, Felver, Cortex Thrill, Cet, Toxic, Frx and many foreigners, such as The Timewriter, Gideon, Zysis just to name a few.
Funtom has been resident in one of the most famous house clubs in Croatia at that time called Club Nr. 1 "Jedinica" and has worked there as Saturday's resident for two years. Before that residency he was also resident in many famous Croatian clubs, such as Club the Best, OTV, Tvornica, Lapidarij, Sokol, Kulusic just to mention few best known Croatian clubs
of that time.
Nowadays Funtom is hosting radio show that has been his main musical preoccupation for the past four years.This radio show is called Groove Site www.groovesite.net and you can listen it every Thursday on Croatian "Radio Student" 100.5 MHz. The show is bringing innovative deep sounds and presenting some of the finest artists from across the globe.
